Happy New Year - Register now for 2018! Updated 1/27/2018
The PBA would like to thank you, our community for a great 2017.  Thanks to your help we reversed the trend of declining participation in youth sports.  That's right, registration was up across the board in our baseball and softball.  Lets keep the momentum going.  We are big fans of the internet, but getting outside and staying active are important.  You don't have to be a superstar, the PBA is a house program.  Skills from beginner to advanced are invited.

The Palatine Baseball/Softball organization offers baseball and softball to those who are 7th grade and older.  With house leagues for men and women extending past college levels.  Please see the baseball and softball menus at the left for further information.  Or view the below registeration info for age/league info.

Registration opened Nov 1.  Register now for 2018.  Full details under our registration page.

Pony & Colt Fall Ball Updated 7/23/2017
We will be offering two fall baseball programs for 2017.  They are summarized below, but please see our 2017 Fall Ball Details for more information on each of the programs offered.
- Pony Sunday Baseball League - Casual league, with typically one game per team each week at either Gbur/Hamilton or Community Field on Sunday afternoons, with optional practices on Saturdays.  Incoming 7th and 8th graders are eligible to play.  Season runs early-to-mid August through late October.  This is a great opportunity for any current 6th graders who will be starting 7th grade in the fall to experience playing on the larger field (80' bases, 54' mound) used in the Pony level league.
- Colt Sunday Baseball League - Casual league, with typically one game per team each week at Gbur/Hamilton Field, or Rolling Meadows High School Varsity Field on Sunday afternoons, with optional practices on Saturdays.  Incoming freshmen through seniors are eligible to play.  This is the only Colt park district Fall Ball program we're aware of in the northwest suburbs.  Season runs early-to-mid August through late October.
We're very excited to offer these programs this year.  Feel free to email us at pbabaseballsoftball@gmail.com if you have questions about any of the programs in our 2017 Fall Ball Details PDF.  We look forward to seeing you on the fields this August.

You can register by clicking on the PBA Home link in the upper left corner of your screen.  Be sure to enter Program Code "301020" to view the fall baseball registration screen.  You can also complete a paper application and submit it to the Palatine Park District at 250 E. Wood Street in Palatine.  The form is available on the PBA Home link.

Board Positions for 2017 Updated 10/13/2016
Each year, we've been fortunate to have a PBA board made up of largely volunteers who dedicate their time and energy towards ensuring that our ballplayers have a positive competitive experience playing baseball and softball in Palatine.  Currently, we are actively seeking additional board members for our 2017 calendar year to help keep our programs strong.

Ideal candidates for these positions are passionate about the sport, have good organizational and time management skills, and want to make a difference for the youth and young adults in our community.  If you're interested or know of someone who might be interested in helping make a difference in our programs, please reach out to us at pbabaseballsoftball@gmail.com.  Positions we are seeking to fill for the 2017 season are as follows:

Umpiring Opportunity - PYBS / PBA Updated 1/6/2016

PYBS is once again we are accepting applications to umpire in PYB/S.  Anyone 14 years old or older is eligible.  Training for umpires will begin in February.  This is a great opportunity for former PYB/S and PBA participants to casually work during the spring and summer while also giving back to the game and community.  It is our desire to give employment opportunities to young people in our community before widespread recruitment elsewhere.

The application form is contained on the umpires tab at the www.pyb.com website;  however, please see attached for additional details.  A draft training schedule is also attached.

Our Mission Updated 11/15/2015

Who We Are
Palatine Baseball Association ("PBA") is the Palatine Park District affiliate baseball/softball program for ages 13-29 (7th grade and up). The house league provides a competitive, fun atmosphere for players with uniforms and certified umpires. Most games are played at Community, Hamilton, and Osage Parks in Palatine, including night games. Included in the season are playoffs, all-star games and post season tournaments depending on league.  In addition, the PBA sponsors two postseason tournament teams at the U14 and U13 year old levels for participants of our Pony League (tryouts for such teams are held annually in early May), which are open to all Pony league players registered in the Palatine Baseball Association
